There are several ways -
1. Take autorikshaw from Tambaram Station to Airport. Maximum fare should be Rs.50/- but auto fellows in Chennai are CHEATS they will ask Rs.200/= start from 30 and setlle below 50/-.
2. Take electric train from Tambaram to Tirusoolam Station. This station is just opposit to the Airport.
3. Take any bus going towards Guindy etc, (All rute nos. 70 ) and beyond at Tambaram and get down just near airport on Main Raod-

Take an electric suburban train at Tambaram and alight at Trisulam Railway station and proceed to your left side through the subway to reach the GST road (Grand Southern Trunk) and a cross of the road will enable u to enter Chennai airport, if you had meant airport as Chennai airport.

board the suburban train and disembark at trisoolam railway station. cross the GST road and you find yourself right in front of the chennai airport

Autorickshaw for 30rps. Just keep asking(telling) someone will take you for that price.
