All of the Persians I have known were great people. The most recent conversation I had with a Persian friend was about the Iranian government. He said there are many people in Iran that want the US to take out their government. Why is it that so many people leave Iran and come to the US? Oppression.
I hope that the Iranian people can rise up and overthrow their government and live in peace w/ freedom of religion.

Limited knowledge on this, but i do know that Iranians are Proud patriotic people, who may have been led astray in the past. Worked with an iranian capenter a few years ago, and he was one of the nicest people i have known.

My husband is Iranian and many members of his family live here. My mom and the rest of my family (we’re American) love his family. I learned Persian (still learning to read and write) and I love Iranian poetry. I am interested in Persian/Dari/Tajik and we moved to Tajikistan for a year. I hope to work in Iran someday if relations between the U.S. and Iran improve (Omidvaram!).

I used to date an Iranian guy - he was totally westernised but I didn't really like the male dominating attitude that came with his family.

I am honestly sorry for them for to live under Islamic law, is far from any freedom that a human being is entitled to have...... to be subdued in the fashion that women especially are, is ungodly and inhuman.

I think Iran's government has gone nuts, but, I think most of the people know it and don't like it.

I think they are the same as any other person but because of where they come from they get stereotyped which is relly bad for them

I feel very bad for them,as they are trapped in a very strongly and opionated,oppressive government.
