well you have asked the right person, THEY SHOULDNT GO FROM THERE MOTHER UNTIL THEY ARE AT LEAST 6 WEEKS OLD, you also have to make sure they are eating well and drinking water before you let them go to new homes, you arent supposed to touch them really it just depends on the mother and her protectiveness, they normally open there eyes at 2 / 3weeks and have more furr and they will be attemting to walk around so keep and eye out, another thing you dont need to clean there bedding for at least 3weeks the mother will sort them out as best she can but if furr over the bedding is getting low and you can see their bear skin i would rip up bits on kitchen roll loo roll or use hamster bedding(the wool one i noramlly buy) it will keep them warm and they wont be figeting as much, i have had rabbits for years and MANY MANY babies personally i wouldnt touch the baby rabbits until they have furr and there eyes r open, if the mother of your rabbit is friendly then it is safe to touch them although she may get curious so if your are going to touch them to check if they are being fed well or see how they are growing then stroke the mother too get the scent back on the babies or put the mother over the babies if you can but if shes struggling let her go as itcould harm the babies n e way this is how i do it and ive never had a problem and my rabbit is quite aggressive and protective good luck with them!!!!!hope ive helped

I've raised a lot of rabbits, and I never had any trouble with touching the young ones too soon.
You should clean their bedding immediately---just scoop out all the blood and water from the birth, and remove any placentas (blobs of red meat) or dead babies you find. Otherwise the mess could attract ants, which can kill the babies.
Otherwise, leave the nest alone. Only visit it once a day to check for dead babies and replace handfuls of bedding if it gets wet. It's not the scent that makes a mother rabbit harm her young, but the stress of being disturbed.
The babies start growing fur immediately, but it doesn't get really fluffy until three weeks, maybe more or less. They open their eyes at ten to twelve days. Shortly after, they'll start toddling around and out of the nest, and you'll need to put them back in if they can't climb back themselves.
You can hold them for a minute or two now, but only a minute or two. They need time to get stronger, and better able to resist cold. Besides, they don't get really cute for another week or so.
Rabbits should be weaned at six weeks, or later if yours are a giant breed. When they're weaned, watch for diarrhea. It often attacks weanling rabbits, and it can kill them. If this happens, call a rabbit vet for advice, ask an experienced breeder, or research online for a home treatment.
Since yours are a week old, they're almost past the period of horrific mortality, and you have a good chance that all the ones you see will make it to adulthood.

Its about 6-8 weeks before you can take them from there mum, i wouldn't touch them till then either just in case the mum rabbit gets annoyed. I would leave there bedding for a while and as i have 3 rabbits i know it would help just clean them out where their toilet is, unless it is where the bedding is. They should grow fur sometime soon or maybe later and they should open their eyes sometime soon im not quite sure on that though. Good Luck with the baby bunnies!

As long as you have the mom.s scent on your hand try looking in a weeks time. Their eyes open around 2 weeks old. Have fur by then. Don't clean their bedding until about 4 weeks old but clean any other compartment. They can't leave mom until they are 8 weeks old. That's the law. They start nibbling normal food around 3 weeks. Give mom a carrot to distract her when checking on babies. Mom will eat a lot more food cos she feeding her babies Good Luck

Rabbits must be 8 weeks old before they leave their mother, not 6 weeks. Wait until they their eyes open and are moving around before you try to touch them and even then, go carefully. As they grow, handle them alot. It will help if they're used to human contact and being picked up when you rehome them.

Wait until they leave the nest before touching them. They will begin to leave and fumble around the hutch at about three weeks. You must leave the nest alone but cleaning the rest of the hutch is fine. Put a handful of new straw in the hutch and mummy will do the rest.

I think you need to leave them with Mrs Bunny for at least 6-8 weeks. I got given a baby bunny aged 6 weeks old when I was a kid. She fit into the palm of my hand and really needed to have been with her mother longer. But I gave her milk and let her sit on my chest and she was such a tame little thing as she grew up! I hope you enjoy your little buns.

The mother will keep the nest fairly clean, don't worry about that. Wait a good month before you handle the babies. The mother will eat them if she is concerned for their safety. Don't fret over them, they will be fine as long as you don't intervene a lot.

wait about another five days. keep a very close eye on them if you leave them with the mother longer than 4 weeks she might kill them also when touching them give the mother a carrot or lettuce to keep her occupied and so she knows you mean no harm xxx good luck if your still unsure consult a vet xx

I would wait at least 5-6 weeks. Bunnies eat their own young if they feel concerned or smell you on them. What's the hurry ?
