Our apartments recently got bought and got converted to condos. We were allowed to stay in them an extra year because they were not selling. Now we may have the opportunity to stay in them another year. We also have the option of moving into a townhouse for $200 more a month. All in all I think it would be an additional $300 more amonth with utilities. Both places are really nice...the townhouse is just double the size. What do you think?

Also, We are not quite ready to buy yet. We are in a major metropolitan area and condos, townhomes and homes are too expensive. So not to get sidetracked but we want to stay in the area but are just not ready to buy yet.

Can you own one or another? Can you afford one over the other? Size is nice, but remember it'll take more electricity, water, whatever to run the house. Location may be an issue , as well as parking availability. These are all things to consider.

You may not think you are ready to buy yet, but think of the tax advantages! When you buy the condo or townhouse, you will be able to deduct the real estate taxes you pay each year as well as a portion of your closing costs from your taxes.
Don't forget that townhouses and condos also have an association fee. That might be an expense also. It could range from about $100.00/month or more.

sounds such as you have an UNINSULATED abode!!. you will choose a $a million,000-3,000 of insulation & $4 hundred of caulk, to get the gasoline bill right down to the place must be. Is the air conditioner in a window OR in the time of the wall? If in a window, get a screwdriver & do away with it. do no longer ask, do purely it! If that's a in the time of the wall, removing it is going to easily provide you a huge sq. hollow. Is the air conditioner set for interior or outdoors air? this does not remember, no remember if that's working or no longer.Set for outdoors air, that's a hollow interior the wall!!!! One layer of excellent plastic ought to kill the draft (air leakage). added layers won't do something for insulation (warmth loss) purposes. deploy the warmth shrink plastic over the abode windows! (non everlasting, kill the air leakage!!!!) If it takes to the air the paint, they did a undesirable job of portray the abode windows. They painted over undesirable / greasy / excessively grimy paint. it is each and all the warmth shrink could do to the abode windows. If it reasons a undesirable moisture / water themes, they have some relatively crappy abode windows (The abode windows must be upgraded!!!!). Weatherstripping, in case you install & then go away it, is an improve, they are in a position to no longer say something approximately this!. You made the abode / house greater efficient, at your guy or woman fee!! in case you have been to place in weatherstripping,(oftentimes everlasting, no longer non everlasting) then do away with it, they could say something approximately this! Sorry with regard to the warmers, The nationwide electric powered Code demands one 15 amp circuit in keeping with 600 sq. ft (20 ft with tips from 30 ft), minimum. . a transportable heater, irregardless of tangible length is approximately 1500 watts or 12.5 amps. 2 WILL holiday a 15 or 20 amp circuit.

You can use this extra year to seek something really good that you want. Since expenses may go up, it makes some sense to stay put for a while as you search.
