Okay I am really freaking out. I need to write a persuasive essay on outsourcing of jobs to other countries. I am against the practice, but I do not know where I am to look for legit information on the ill effects it has on American families. I do not want to fill my paper with alot of fluff and numbers( %). I want it to be heartfelt and persuasive at the same time. I have not been in school for over 15 years and I am really scared I am not going to pull this off. I just dont know where to start.. Really about to have a break down over this. I am not very good at determining if internet sites have what I want. I do not speak with alot of big words and I want to keep this as simple as possible. Any suggestion to help me not completly FREAK OUT will be greatly appreciated. Also, if someone can help me generate actual ideas for this paper I would owe you my life!!!!

The last thing you want to be looking for is "the ill effects it has on American families" ! You are meant to be persuading folk to go for it, not provide good reasons not to.
For example call center business is increasingly being shipped overseas to India, this makes many American home folk out of work, but as you are trying to write a persuasive essay, you obviously wont be telling people about that aspect will you???
You have to figure out what is good about it.
Now I am no business man and I would prefer to write about the disadvantages, but thats not what you are asking.
The only advantage I can see is the reduction in running costs, this means far cheaper office rental, much cheaper telephone bills , perhaps above all salaries, all a fraction of USA costs, so I suggest you type in 'overseas outsourcing' into your search enginge and look for all the advantages you can find, make a list , say 1 to 10 (if you can find that many) For example No 1 costs, list a few examples of the vast savings to be made , keep it short and sweet and to the point.
Good luck to you, Its a job I wouldnt like to take on, I'm atheist, it would be like me trying to persuade folk that there really is a God!!!! (just couldnt resist that little crack)
Any thing else I can do let me know, as for owing 'your life' I'm prety sure we can get one cheaper from India! Dont include that bit in your essay, even if it is true!
Having just typed all that uo, I cant now make up my mind what you are looking for, is it to say what a good idea it is to outsource to other countries? Or pursuade folk that its not a good idea?/

I'm professional-alternative however I do not consider any individual is FOR abortion, it is an terrible selection to need to be confronted with however I consider there are a few occasions a child must no longer be introduced into. When the mum has been raped and cannot love the baby, if the girl's husband or boyfriend is abusive she must deliver a baby into risky global in which the baby could be depressing, if the dad and mom cannot have enough money the baby, if mother is on medicinal drugs and the baby could have well being disorders. Here's a location to begin. Good success!

Try doing searches on large well known news sites (NY times, USA Today etc) also try sites like MSN or maybe even Fox News. Look for links to AP stories. Business websites would also be a good place to look for information

You also might try to look for a story of someone's real life experience (of loosing a job to outsourcing) That would be a real heartfelt way to relate the problem to your audience.

I will put some linsk below to news articles that might help you get started...Good Luck

Go to your newspapers website and look for stories that hit close to home. If someone in your area has lost their job because of this you will be able to read their story and it can stir up emtions in you that will enable you to write a good paper. Also check out websites for USA Today and The New York Times.
