Yes. Until LOST, and now Heroes, I hadn't been really impressed with broadcast television since X-Files, Twin Peaks and Northern Exposure.
Most everything had gone formula. Even CSI: Sin City follows it's own formula except for the 2-part episodes, and they're still somewhat formulatic.

Depends what you watch on a regular basis watch one soap and you will not only guess what happens next but also what is coming up in others as it is "Follow my leader" story time!

Depends what you watch - if it's soaps and sit-coms, I agree and I don't watch them anymore. They are TV bubblegum.
