Because you were not mature enough to get married.
Marriage takes work, and committment, and understanding. When things get tough, you are expected to be there, and those times make you grow together, and strengthen your relationship.
Don't be selfish, love that person unconditionally.
Love is an action, when you give it, it comes back to you.

I'm guessing you or anyone that feels that way hasn't found the right person. I've been married for 13 years and I still get excited when I see my husband and I'm not only in love with him as I used to be when we were dating but more so now after so many ups and downs, children and real life that comes at you fast. Knowing that he's there and not going anywhere when I need him is much more special than any boyfriend/girlfriend relationship. Hope you find the right person for you..it feels great and make life wonderfully easy and fun!

Many people mistake lust for love. Lust is a powerful feeling of attraction - love is peaceful, and accepting, and respectful. When people stop feeling lust for eachother, they mistakenly believe that they aren't in love anymore.

Love is calming - peaceful- forgiving - patient. It's not a high adreniline sex-filled ride. It's not meant to be. As two people's love grows stronger, and they experience real spiritual intimacy, then their sex drive becomes even more fulfilling - but that's the result of spiritual intimacy, or mature love.

For some reason after marriage, couples find themselves not willing to go the extra mile for their partner
- no more dressing up for dinner
- no more super tight hugs that say i miss you even though youre in the next room, etc

I guess it's because the novelty has worn off.

Because when you find a person to love, you will choose the person u really love but may be he/she is not a good husband/wife or cannot help u in ur job. But when u find a person for marriage, u will choose the person who will be a good wife/husband and can help ur job.

You can love someone the same way, once you become married, but you have to work at it. You have to continue to communicate, and date, and keep the flame flickering. It takes hard work to keep the relationship on fire but it is doable. I have been married for seven years and I am madly in love in with my husband and we still date one another. Communication is the key.

its not that the love lessens...its more like...you know who you fell in love with...you will always love them..youve clearly won their love..the effort to show how much you love each other lessens..kinda
