The truth about me? No,they don't have to accept my version of truth,but not judging me and accepting me as I am is crucial[ they can still challenge my "truth" and I'd be a willing participant]. Generally, truth is important, because real friendship can not exist without it- You want someone to genuinely like and take you as you are.

Hmmmm.....I think you CAN have close friends that don't know EVERYTHING about you. But the best friends are those that do know everything and are OK with it, the ones you can say anything to without fear of judgment. Hard to come by.
