As a general rule, football movies are terrible, however I would have to say the best is NECESSARY ROUGHNESS... How can you beat a washed up, half drunk quarterback leading a bunch of no-names to greatness with one hot a s s placekicker and a big Samoan to boot.

As far as the worst, I would have to say Oliver Stone's ANY GIVEN SUNDAY. Nobody wants to see either Dennis Quaid or Jamie Fox under center, as except for the overpaid hooker from the former cast of Saved by the Bell, this movie ranks as Oliver's and the football community's worst all time.

The original version of The Longest Yard is probably my favorite (and I must admit, I didn't mind the remake, either). I also enjoyed Friday Night Lights, Knute Rockne: All American, Brian's Song (the original version), The Waterboy, and Necessary Roughness (very underrated in my opinion).

As for the worst, though I'm an Eagles fan, The Garbage Picking Field Goal Kicking Philadelphia Phenomenon was pathetic. Although a lot of people might disagree, I didn't care much for The Replacements.

I like the original version of The Longest Yard, and my second fav would be The Replacements. Any Given Sunday was alright, Im an Al Pacino fan. Friday Night Lights just sucked to me.

Best would be a tossup for me between The Longest Yard and We are Marshall. The worst one is a no-brainer for me. Friday Night Lights was the absolute worst MOVIE I ever saw. It has no excitment except for the hits. Thank God for the television show which is soo much better.

The one with Goldie Hawn was Wildcats, I liked that one!

I can't pick just one best.

Best: The Longest Yard (original), Remember The Titans, Jerry Maguire, Rudy, Everybody's All American

Worst: Friday Night Lights, Any Given Sunday, Varsity Blues

Best is RUDY. Brought many a tear to me eye!

WORST is Necessary Roughness. How could you like that movie, dude? They bring back a 39 something yr old has been QB to college and set him up with a team of misfits?? Ridiculous and seriously NOT funny.

Facing the Giants because it deals with God and it shows that with him all things are possible plus there's not cuzzing and volence. I just enjoy that movie and it's my new favorite one. Mainly be it deals with my lord and it has regular people in it no professionals. It's also because it has football in it and a good story line. It made me cry and laugh. I also like The Replacements and Remeber the Titans but they don't compare to Facing the Giants.
