My disliking for George W Bush has nothing to do with religion,it has to do with his lack of compassion and sensibility.

The only reason I hate George Bush is because this man thinks he is above the Constitution and the law. He violated the FISA law with warrant less wiretaps. He passed the Patriot Act which allows him to do warrant less searches. Military Commissions Act of 2006 allows him to define torture and lock anyone up as an unlawful enemy combatant. Then he decides to make it legal for him to open mail without a warrant. He created the North American Union that violates this country's sovereignty. This is why I hate Bush, not because he is a Christian.

I don't think he would have made his second term if he weren't a Christian. I feel sorry for all the people out there who AREN'T Christians!!
Yes, I do look at all aspects of the person that I vote for, and i'm definatly not going to give my vote to anyone who doesn't obey God.
For those who want to say that our president isn't a Christian because he's had alcohol or smoked pot years ago, I have to say I feel sorry for you. That is what being a Christian is all about! We get forgivness through the blood of Christ. And who made all the rules here, man or God???
Read your bibles folks, what was the first miracle Jesus did? He turned water into wine!!!! Why? He was encouraging people to sin?? I don't think so folks.
I am so worried about what this country has become now. I hope Jesus comes back and takes all his people soon. God is NOT going to put up with this what this world has become for very long.

I don't hate him for his religious affiliation.
I don't hate him at all...
I dislike what he's done with his country, his complete disregard for the lives of his own men as well as those in Iraq (think of the civilians), the invasion of Somalia, the absolutely hypocrisy of executing Saddam and then saying it was their decision (I read Arabic, I know that those so-called happy Iraqis are actually Iranians) and how he did it on Eid which is like Christmas for the Muslims (it is against Iraqi law to execute anyone on a religious holiday), he has no explanation for the war except the 'terror' scapegoat, and last but certainly not least.. he has not paid any attention to history. This is a repeat of what happened in the early 90s but it's so much more serious. He can't walk away.
So in the end, I don't hate him for his religious affiliation. I dislike him for who he has proven himself to be.

Bin Laden Bush is not a Christian. He CLAIMS to be one but then goes ahead and murders on a wholesale basis. I refuse to believe any murderer is a true Christian.
His references to God in his speeches is just political pandering to the religious right. He cares no more about God than he cares about American civil liberties and freedoms. Our Commander in Thief uses God to justify his actions and crimes, just as Saddam did, as Hitler and Mussolini did, etc. This is especially easy to do in this country. All you have to do is say, "this is what God wants", and people will sign away their rights, give you all their money, etc. It's lazy thinking. Not to mention completely naive to think an alcoholic cokesniffin male cheerleader has a direct line to the Creator.

Given the current political climate, if Bush wasn't a Christian he wouldn't be president.

Since I don't hate Christians and I do hate Bush, I would have to say yes. His professed religion has nothing to do with it. It's like saying would you still hate Osama if he was not Muslim. Muslim isn't the problem, blowing up people is.

I don't hate him,but I have absolutely no trust in him,and I'd feel just as strongly if he were a Democrat like I am.His religious views have no bearing on it at all.He does give christians a bad name in my opinion,as well as the world's view of America.

Yes... or I would still not agree with his policies. It's his policies that are the reasons he is not liked by some... not all is in regard with his religion... although he does put too much emphasize on his so called "Christianity"
If he was not Christian, do you think he would think differently?
It's a hard one to call.

First off disliking someone's policies and the way they carry said policy out doesn't equal hate. It means we dislike the president and the job he is doing. Thankfully we live in a country where we are allowed to have this freedom of thought (at least for now). Now for your second assertion that he is a Christian, I'd have to disagree with you. It seems to me that he and his advisor (Karl Rove) played that card successfully twice to hoodwink the Christian core of this country into voting for him.
