Does anyone ever think of where things come from?

Like, who decided that 2+2=4. Who was the guy who said the value of two is 2. Or like, who decided to call chocolate, chocolate. Sure, some words ORIGNATED from other words, but who made up THOSE words. Who decided how to pronouce sertain letters. I hope you all know what i mean, i'm just curious. It's a good thing to think about.

I've always wondered about that. Linguistics are fantastic to learn about. But language changed over time, words were created not by just one person but by a group of people agreeing that's what they're going to call that thing.
It's very interesting to study, language.
