If society doesn't have guidlines for finacial abuse, then maybe you can start one!
I believe one can be finacial abusive yes!! My now boyfriend, just maybe 4 months ago let his ex gf charge up over $15,000 on one of his credit cards. She of course refuses to pay it back, so he's taking on the payments. He has no cook stove in this apartment he just moved me into. He said for me to check second hand stores and not find one for over $50!!! I came right out and asked why it was she was so special to give him all this burden of credit card payment, and I only deserve a $50 stove. He had the never to tell me that one of the biggest reasons he was attracted to me is because he could tell I was use to not having anything and he liked that because he wouldn't have to give me anything! I feel so special!!!

It is abuse if he doesn't deliberately provide for subsistence needs of his family. It is unforgiveable and goes against every instinct a man should have. My parents did this and I will never forgive them for it.

Just because you have money does not mean you have to share it with anyone...not even family.
Is this the father and he is not providing essentials? If so, this is abuse.
But, if this is a rich uncle, SOL!
