Not trying to be sick. But if a women or a number of women were attacking you, do you belive you can stike back in self defence? And would where you hit them make a difference in your opinion?

I think physical abuse can go both ways. It's not right for a man to hit a woman, but that being said...it's not right for a woman to hit a man and he has a right to defend him self. Physical abuse is WRONG...no matter who's doing it!

If any human being physically attacks me, I am justified in responding with enough force to defend myself and leave the situation.
If someone just strikes me and then terminates the attack, I have nothing to defend against. If I hit back, it's not privileged. It's revenge. What I *CAN* do is swear out a criminal complaint that will be a huge pain in the behind for the attacker and make him/her think twice.
I can also bring action in civil court for battery, which would only cost me a filing fee. She, on the other hand, would be racking up some legal expenses or settling. The slap would cost her.

Here in America you better not hit a woman!!! Self defence still limits a males rights as to how much force a male should use to keep the femal attacker at bay untill help arives.

I think you are allowed to use an appropriate force to defend yourself. If it is one woman attacking you most likely you can withstand a couple of blows to the face and let her cool off. At best you might have to restrain her or take her to the ground but i dont think any kind of strike would be appropriate at that point. If there is more than one woman attacking you then this is a whole different ball game. they are there to inflict bodily harm on you, and i believe it is appropriate to defend yourself accordingly! swing for the fences at that point buddy and dont stop until you feel you are safe and out of harms way.
A situation with multiple attackers is a threat to your life, it can quickly escalate and i think the best scenario is to fight till you are able to run
Let me make it clear that in no way do i condone violence toward women. I came from a home in which my step dad beet my mom. I moved out with my real father at that point telling my mother i wouldnt come home until he was gone. Needless to say he didnt leave but was very sorry that at 17 i returned for the first time being 6'5" 240 lbs i showed him what i thought of all those years he hurt my mom. It did nothing for the situation though as they are still together 8 years later and i dont speak to either of them any more.

I would never strike the first blow. If she is stupid enough to hit you, then you should have a right to defend yourself. It is not your fault that she attacked someone stronger than herself.
The cops are probably going to believe her rather than you, however. Think about how likely it is for a girl to deliberately pick on someone bigger. Maybe it is better to simply leave if you can.

I disagree with the comment made by "mmadrid" that it would depend on "why" she was attacking you. No person has a right to hit another person just because she is angry at you. Women cannot go around physically or emotionally or verbally abusing men just because you are disagreeing with her, or not doing what she wants. She can always leave you if she cannot stand your personality. I hate this double standard.

1. You can go to jail for hitting anyone.
2. That being said, the woman attacking you can all have charges pressed against them.
3. I believe in equal rights for women and men, therefore, if a woman hits you like a man, she should be prepared to be hit back like a man.

As a woman I feel if a woman hits you then they put themselves in the way to be hit back, how far that action is taken by the man will make the diffrence in right or wrong. Everyone has the right to defend themselves.

In your example, yes, I think it would be okay. Other than that I don't think it's right. I have seen a few women however, that deserved to have the living ...knocked out of them. I think some women just push and push and end up getting hit and then wonder why. I don't condone hitting but I can understand it.

It's never ok. If you are being struck by a woman you need to jus get the heck out of there, but it's just wrong to hit back. Imagine if it was your mom and some guy hit her, regardless of the reason. Not cool.

In self defence I would protect myself and remove myself from the situation.
If I am fearing for my life all bets are off and she better be able to take a punch.
