Before me and my husband even married there was agreement that I would stay home and take care of the kids and that he would work. After the kids where grown and out of the house if I wanted to work that fine. Even then he'd [erfer it be part time and volunteer work only. It would make him feel like less of a man if he didn't provide for me and the kids 100%.

"let your wife have a career"? that's cute, really.

if my man made enough money to support our family by himself, then i would definetly be a stay at home mother until my kids start school. but in order to keep a roof over our heads, we both have to have a full time income, that's just how it is.

I do not understand the word "let". If you think a wife does what her husband "lets" her you are pretty backward. If your wife is worth the flesh she is made of, she will think for herself. Obviously you are to stupid to think for yourself so you better marry a smart woman.

I don't let my wife do anything. She has a career because she wants one. Who are you, Mr. 19th Century Man?
