My boss is making my life miserable. I asked for a day off a couple of weeks ago, was told that it was all set and then didn't have it off. The same thing happened this week and I'm scheduled on Saturday when I needed it off. I'm going to talk to the manager today. If I can't get the day off, should I quit? This is only a very small example of how bad it is. How should I handle this? I do have another job, this was only for extra money.

Don't take nothing from no one. If you think your boss is taking advantage of you and you don't really need the gig you should just draft a 2 week notice in writing and shove it up his.

Anyhow, now if you're a spiteful god fearing folk like me I suggest you hold out for a bit. Wait until the workplace is understaffed. Then quit on the spot. A simple revenge that'll surely ruin his day.

Well, since you hate it and it is a second job the answer should be obvious; YES!
Even if you have no desire to ever comeback; don't burn bridges. With composure they the manager why you are leaving; (s)he may fix the problem on the spot or at least it'll help out your replacement down the line.

One thing to keep in mind is that on top of not having the extra income you'll now have more free-time, meaning you'll have more time to spend less money. So instead of going to work on a Saturday to make, say $50, you'll now be spend $20 for a lunch and movie. That's a $70 swing in cash flow.

Yes if you are unhappy quit. There is nothing worse than going to a job everyday that you hate and feel resentment towards. If this is for extra money i say quit and start looking for something more enjoyable! Good luck

If you have another form of income then YES, quit. Happiness is more important than extra cash so quit that one and find a place where you're comfortable if you need a little extra money.

If you don't enjoy your job and you're getting hassle from your boss then you should quit, but before you do make sure you either have another job lined u and that you can meet your expenditures. I made the mistake of leaving my old job before getting a new one and it cost me a lot in lost income.

I would have to experience the situation to give you a really good answer. I can tell you this whatever job you have and you do not enjoy it at all you should either quit or look for a new one. Never stay at a job you do not enjoy. It will only cause regret and misery.

**** your boss! if its only a side job for extra money, and it isnt wat you wanna do for your career than why let it get to u...man up! take control of your situations, and make sure everything you do (no matter if your a lawyer, or if you work at mcdonalds) is on paper...that means its official and use it as a reciept...meaning your hours, when u call off, money you should get, etc...and that way your never wrong...if i were you id talk to my manager and be like "look this is just a side job, and i work hard when im here, but i need off for (reason) and you tell me its fine, well that means its official vacations time, and if you need me im sorry but i told you (how many days/weeks beforehand) that i needed off and you expect me to drop my errands for this...no, sorry..i need off and if you cant handle it then ill work elsewhere"...but be professional about it and dont curse or anything like that...like i said take control and man up, and if they dont like what you have to say, **** em, "peace!"

YES. Life is tooo short to be stuck in a job you hate. Trust me. I use to work at a large department store and they treated me like crap! I hated it and it would put me in such bad moods. I noticed that those bad moods were rubbing off on the ones I loved. Not good! So, I quit my job, found a job I LOVE, and now Im happy. Trust me, DO IT!
