The water has to be deep enough to accommodate them.

Certain types of sharks have been spotted way up almost into Artic waters. Most of those types sharks would not be dangerous to humans though.
As far as Man-eaters--GReat whites have been known to swim way up into colderwaters as far north as Seattle and Maine. im sure GReat Whites have made there way even farther North like Off France or England as well. Although that is probably very rare.
Other Dangerous Sharks such as Makos or Blues are commenly seen in Massachusettes.
Bull Sharks can swim up rivers and have been spotted in New Jersey before.

Hello
In answer to your question .... I think it depends on the type of shark. As far as I know there are sharks as far as the Arctic circle.
We were watching a program on Great Whites the other night and they have had reports or even captured great whites as far north as Newfoundland. There have been reports of great whites off the west coast of the UK. They follow the warmer currants up and also have a special way of recycling the heat that their bodies produce swimming to keep their systems warmer and therefore able to adapt in colder climate waters.
I am not really sure what type of shark info you were looking for. But hope this info helps you in some way.

If we can get whales in the River Thames then I'm sure those sharks will go as far as they like.
Truthfully I don't know .. I just felt like answering this question.
