One is not actually expected to "hang in there". That's just what people say when they don't know how else to help you. Darth Vader would just tell you to look on the dark side of things.

Depends on the situation. If there is a chance things will get better, hang in there. If it's a hopeless situation (ex. abuse), get the hell out.

as long as you are a baby hanging off your mommas teet that is ok hang there *suck * suck* *suck* but as soon as your an adult - why hang in there 1 second.
