I would like to see the media show the other side of the coin in the dangerous dogs arguement - lets hear the blame the deed not the breed. Most of the reported dog attacks are either by 'guard' dogs trained to attack or from families who simply don't know how to train and look after their pets to make them into loving family pets

I would like to see the media show the other side as well. I believe it is the owners. We live near a German Shepherd and the dog is placid, but the owner gets it to bark at the least little noise on purpose and I have lived with this getting on my nerves for 10 years.

We drive home from work after 13 hours out and as we park, we are accompanied to barking non stop and I am a nervous wreck in the cul de sac at the back of our place.

The owner is a disabled idiot of 76 who thinks he owns the area.

Have tried a dog repellant in the garden and the bloke has moved it and painted over it.

I am with you on this one. This is the fault of the thugs who think it makes them look hard to own such breeds as Pit Bulls, and who often are either making money fighting them (bound to make a dog aggressive .........) or keeping them nasty to protect them from rival drug dealers. I have owned large hunting dogs and we are not talking inherently vicous animals here. It is down to the owner. Personally - and especially in the Merseyside area where 26 illegal fighting dogs have been 'confiscated' - I would like to see the OWNERS destroyed, rather than the dogs. It would improve society no end.

it's rarely the dog. Bad dogs are created from bad owners - who either don't know how to train an aggressive breed, don't control their large animals - or specifically train them TO be aggressive. It's just a dog - bad owners are the real problem
