Was he a face or heel when he won the Rumble in 2005? As I thought he was in evolution then and they were heels werent they?

He was still in Evolution i think they were heels but the fans hadnt made there mind up on him as he hadnt been involved in any major stories apart from the one with him and Goldberg when he first joined th wwe
in winning th rumble he got a shot a HHH for the belt - in the build up to wrestlemania and the title shot wi HHH ( the leader of evolution ) th fued between the 2 pushed Batista in2 leaving evolution and becoming a major face

Batista wasn't part of Evolution during 2005 Rumble. Batista is ace.Evolution were bad boys but HHH is cool as part of Generation DX.
They all follow scripts and each has a turn in the spot light as the 'bad guy.' It ain't real. They're all good mates with each other really.

i think he was a heel at the rumble because he was still part of evolution, and i think he turned face at the contract signing when he gave triple h a thumbs up, then a thumbs down and powerbombed him through a table and signed the contract for raw.
