It is such a touchy subject that people are scared to discuss it.

If there is no hatred can there still be Racism?

well you're right! its taboo in todays world and even if you're not racist, sometimes ure classified as one! Example: I once had a teacher (she was black and then only black teacher in the school) and she used to complain to the principle if someone would disrespect implying that they're a racist...so true its a touchy subject! And u can be a racist without hating if u classify a lot!

A racist is someone who solely dislikes and / or disapproves of another person just because of the color of their skin or nationality.

If the world became hate free there would be ONLY GOD BECAUSE GOD IS LOVE 1 John 4: 7,8

God is no respector of persons and that means by his example, we should not be either.

You can be a racist without hate. I think of it as considering one race superior than another, or standing by generalizations about entire races.

Simple. Someone has an irrational dislike for another person because of their race.

I think anytime-jokingly or not- when you go to say something to someone and can't just say it without mentioning their race (or what you believe their race to be) it's just a wee bit racist.

And then to go on and, for example, imply that someone of another race has no green card, it gets really nasty.

Whether you intended for it to be interpreted the way it was or not, it should never have been said.

I'm not angry with anyone on this board, I'm just a little bit disappointed. I thought we were all a litte more intelligent than this.
