I almost sure that dolphins do get attacked and that they can defend their selves. What I do know for sure is that sharks don´t like dolphins(as seen in Finding Nemo).

dolphins actually avoid being attacked by grouping together. And if thats not enough, if dolphins see a human being attacked by a shark, they will herd over there and protect the human from the attack! isn't that awesome?

The answer above is probaly closest to the truth. We see bitten dolphins very often off our fishing boat but they do tend to either outswim or out number the sharks to fend for themselves. Do see a few that have been eaten tho.

yes they do, and it's a known fact that Dolphins are more than capable of fending off Sharks.......... basically what they do is gang up together, and headbutt into the shark at speed until it either leaves the area, or dies.

Yes they do and yes they can. In fact, because dolphins tend to swim in pods and sharks tend to be loners the dolphins are usually triumphant.

i've read where dolphins attack sharks and kill them if they attack divers and humans in the water. also i do think sharks will attack an injured, weak or baby dolphin but the dolphins will protect their own.
