The Second trimester is a time that you can rest from all the things that have happened in the first. Many transformations were occurring the first trimester. The baby in the second is settling into a growth pattern, and you are adjusting to all the changes of hormones.
The last trimester the baby is really busy growing thus mom is giving from her body more and more.
You will still feel pregnant but you will have a time to rejuvenate yourself and feel good for a while.
The body goes through so many changes during pregnancy
but this is a time to enjoy fully
Enjoy your pregnancy

My pregnancy never got the memo about feeling "energetic and blooming." I had morning sickness everyday for weeks on end, I felt bloated (before I actually started looking like I was pregnant), and I had no energy whatsoever.
I think that A makes sense for a lot of women - they get really run down in the first trimester with morning sickness, so when it eases up it makes them feel a whole lot better.
However, I had no morning sickness or any problems during my first trimester, the second was so awful.

I'm about a month into my second trimester, and the first trimester was harder. The nausea and fatigue was worse, plus I had cramping and backaches and food aversions and super-sensitive sense of smell and I didn't want to be touched, PLUS the nervousness of possible miscarriage. It's just such a big adjustment the first several weeks, especially if your body has never been pregnant before! Although the second trimester has been easier, it has its own challenges. You're outgrowing your normal clothes, your belly is getting bigger (and in the way), and it's not as easy to do normal stuff as it used to be. At least, it isn't for me. But I've got more energy now, and it's so much fun seeing your belly begin to get cute and round! The ginormous boobs are fun, too.

I felt awful through every trimester. I had morning sickness from 7 weeks till 30 weeks and then from 34 to 38 weeks. I felt slightly more energetic in the second trimester than in the first and third but not bouncing off the walls or anything like that.
I think each person is different with their experiences of pregnancy. There is no set in stone rules for how you should feel.
Good luck

Sweetie, it means you will feel more energetic then the first trimester and usually for the majority of the women, you will not be sick anymore. As far as the term non pregnant state- I don't understand why you would bring it up in the same sentence as being pregnant. Obviously when you are not pregnant, you will feel normal not tired as when you are pregnant.
Most women find the second trimester of pregnancy easier than the first. But it is just as important to stay informed about your pregnancy during these months.
You might notice that symptoms like nausea and fatigue are going away. But other new, more noticeable changes to your body are now happening. Your abdomen will expand as you gain weight and the baby continues to grow. And before this trimester is over, you will feel your baby beginning to move!
Some of the following aches and pains may make their first appearance during the second trimester:
Pain in the abdomen, groin, and thighs-
Backaches-
Shortness of breath-
Stretch Marks-
Skin Changes-
Tingling in hands and fingers-
Itching on the abdomen, palms, and soles of the feet — Call your doctor if you have nausea, loss of appetite, vomiting, jaundice or fatigue combined with itching. These can be signs of a serious liver problem called cholestasis of pregnancy.

i think what this means is after a horrible first trimester,,(like most moms get) your second trimester is better because you will most likely not be sick, and acne n all that, and you will have your natural energy back again, first trimester takes a lot out of you in order to get the baby growing this is summen your body isnt used to so your body gives up all its energy and goodness to the embryo, but in the second trimester your body by this time is used to the pregnancy and so therefor your feel more bubbly, not so tearful or hormonal and you have energy, this doenst mean MORE energy than ever before you just begin to feel normal again i guess only with the added belly size. and just incase you dont already know this,,,this is something i never knew, is that you may have noticed that you have lots of hair,,,well during prengancy your hair doesnt fall out as it normally would before, only a small amount but once you have the baby then all that pregnacy hair FALLS OUT, its not painful and it doesnt fall out in clumps, so dont worry but i falls out at an alarming rate,,everytime you wash your hair you will see this i was so surpised everywhere i looked in the house had my hair stuck to it curtains floor everywhere and i never once read that in my preggy books or the doc either he never mentioned that either. nothing to worry about tho,,,happy pregnancy enjoy your energy.

Less achey and "what the hell is THIS pain now!?" I didn't feel more energetic at all. I stopped wanting to dose off at 1pm but my energy level had pretty much stayed the same. Now motivation on the other hand...lol.
B.) comes in the 3rd trimester when you start nesting. Cleaning everything and getting stuff done thats been put off. I'm notorious for doing this at 8-10pm and 4am. It's lovely.
good luck and take it easy

i think it means that you dont have morning sickness anymore and your pretty much use to the rest of the symptoms you may have gotten during your first tri, and in your last tri your to big and uncomfortable to do anything i think thats what it means, not meaning your going to be running around like crazy though i was still really tired during my 2nd trimester

It depends on the person. In my experience, most women don't bloom at all!
I know some who say they had more energy than when they weren't pregnant. I didn't experience that. I just felt the same as when I wasn't pregnant.
