If you are not treated like a queen, you are being taken advantage of. If you let people walk all over you, you are being taken advantage of. Take a stance, no matter what the subject, and you won't be taken advantage of.

Say for instance this girl you know at school, isn't your friend per say, but you will say hi to her. You find out she has the new latest teen fashions. You can't get your mom to buy them for you, so you think, well if I'm her friend, she may let me wear some. SO you pretend to take a big interest in her friendship, even though you don't really like her! YOU only like the fact she is letting you borrow her clothes. Your taking advantage of her!

Get it yet??

Taking advantage means taking over someone's life or taking control over anything. Your parents are control of you because you are a minor so they are responsible. Hopefully that helps:}

It means "TO USE SOMETHING OR SOMEONE"

for instance to take advantage of a situation...means if a good situation shows up, you use it. It works for using people too. If someone were to offer to buy your lunch, then you EXPECT them to buy your lunch, and they do...you are taking advantage.

OK.I will try to help you understand this. Example... Me and you are friends. You are a very nice person who will do any thing for anybody. I know that about you. So I want to go out to night. Instead of asking you to go I ask you to baby sit for me. You say yes. The next day I call you and want you to baby sit again so I can go out again. I always push things off on you. I want you to do do do for me but I never want to do for you. So as long as you let me I'm going to use you.
