I don't want to import the whole cd because some songs have scratches on it. I just want to import one song at the end of the cd.

Save the song you want to import in Itunes on your computer, then open Itunes click on File ->Import, then browse to the location of the saved song and click on it.

Tip: Once you have saved the song to ur computer don't change its location, otherwise Itunes will not be able to relocate it from its new location (so save the song in a folder eg My Music and keep it there forever). Basically Itunes programme reads the file from the location where the file has been saved, so if you delete or change the song's location Itunes will not be able to play it). If you import the song directly from your CD, Itunes will read it only from the CD, so if you remove the CD Itunes will not be able to play it for the future, that is why you have to save it on your computer first.

When you put the CD into your computer it might ask you whether you'd like to import the CD. Answer no. At that point you should see a listing of all the songs on the cd with a check mark to the left of each title. Check the songs you'd like to import and uncheck the ones you don't want. Hit the import CD button and you should be on your way.

okay. here's what you do. once the cd is showing on the left side of iTunes, just simply click on it to bring up the list of songs. Instead of dragging the CD title to the library do the following. When the CD title is showing, click on it then just drag each song you want from the CD to your library (in this case, just the one song). It's as simple as that. Hope this make sense and helps!
