They will cut Bush off at the knees so that he cannot run the national debt through the planet with his crazy idea that something positive can be accomplished in Iraq. If a well-respected Republican like Gerald Ford was opposed to the invasion (and well-respected Republicans are hard to come by) then something has to be wrong.

The Democrats will respond negatively no matter what he proposes in his speech. He could come out and spell out the exact Democratic plan of action in Iraq (of which there is none) and they would still say he is wrong.

You could write the response now & it would be close to their answer. They do not care what is said, they do not agree with President Bush. They will end up supporting his stance but are covering their rear ends, so they can blame him when he is gone.
