I don't know for sure, but it sounds like the same music that Tony Hart used to play on his show. I think it was for the gallery. I might be wrong, as it was many years ago.

Someone asked a question here earlier about Tony Hart, the artist famous in the 1970s for "Vision On" on BBC1.
Isn't this music the same piece that they used to use on the gallery section, where they showed viewers' artwork?
Unfortunately, I don't know the name of it, but there's a lot about "Vision On" on Tony Hart's website where you might find the answer:
www.tonyhart.co.uk

I've just looked on the site and it gives this info about the music:

On 'Vision On', the penulatimate Gallery music was the brilliant 'Leftbank 2' by the Lance Gambit Trio. It was referred to as "the Gallery theme" by all those on the programme. Another used was 'Cavatina' played by John Williams. Others associated with 'Vision On' were 'Accroche-Toi Caroline!' (Claude Vasori), 'Java' (Al Hirt) and the absolutely unforgettable 'Gurney Slade' by Max Harris.

I know the tune Cavatina, so it definitely isn't that, so it could be the piece called "Leftbank 2"
