Let x = units digit let y = tens digit The original number is equal to 10y + x The reversal of the digits results in 10x + y (10y + x) - 27 = 10x + y x + y = 7 x = 7 - y 10y + (7 - y) - 27 = 10(7 - y) + y 9y - 20 = - 9y + 70 18y = 90 y = 5 x = 2 The original number is 52 The new (reversed digits) number is 25 Check QED

Let x and y be the 2 digits of the number.
(x be the tens place digit and y be the units place digit)
The number is : 10x + y

Given : Sum of 2 digits = 9
Hence, x + y = 9 .................. (1)

By The second condition of 27 being subtracted from the number,

10x + y -27 = 10y + x
9x-9y = 27

x - y = 3 .......................... (2)

Solve equations (1) and (2) Simultaneously

x + y = 9
x - y = 3
___________
2x = 12

x=6
y=3

The number is 10x + y ,
i.e 10*6 + 3 = 63

n: number: ab
a + b = 9 then it must be a multiple of 9
that narrows it down to 09 18 27 36 45 54 63 72 81 90

we just have to find the two reversed numbers that their difference is 27, these numbers are 63 and 36
so the number you r looking for is 63

The number is 63.

Let the digits in unit place be y and that in the tens place be x.so the number is 10x+y.

sum of digits x+y=9

the number in the reversed form is 10y+x.

if 27 is subtracted frommthe original numner(10x+y) the digits are reversed so
(10x+y)-27=10y+x

simplifying we have 10x+y-27=10y+x.
9x-9y=27
x-y=3--------1

also x+y=9(sum of digits is 9)--------------2

solving 1& 2 simutaneoulsy we have x=6 and y=3.

so number is 10x+y=63

just to countercheck
63-27=36 which is the reversed number...

Let the number be 10x+y where x and y are single digit number.x+y=9 and 10x+y-27=10y+x are given that is x+y=9 and 9x-9y=27(that is x-y=3) are given whose solution is x=6,y=3.therefore the given two digit number is 10(6)+3=63.
