Take it to a No ID check cashing place, but don't use your signature.

Take it to the bank and they will determine if it is a legal document. If not and it is deposited you could be held liable for the amount if it is charged back. Also those checks when deposited may authorize a loan triggered and may cost yu more than you know, even taking your bank information and causing you to lose everything including your identity and credit. If not the real deal contact the US Postal service and they forward that to the Attorney General for postal fraud. Good luck but don't try to scam a scammer!

Wachovia is a trustworthy bank, or at least they seem like one.
This is probably a firm offer of credit. Meaning you cash it and you have opened a loan or revolving account with them.

Free money doesn't just come in the mail. If you have questions call the bank.

Why don't you call the bank that it is written on and ask them? No one is going to send you a check for free, and you know that.

The envelope that it came in, did they use first class postage or was it mailed bulk mail??
