My best friend is pregnant. She is not very showing, but she will be soon. Her boyfriend is going to jail if the police find him, so she will also get out in foster care. She will be moving to protect herself and her bf. Any advice?

She really needs to think of the baby. Running with him is the worse thing she could do.

If this guy is a criminal and is wanted by the police and she runs with him she'll 1) be reported as a runaway, 2) dad will be thrown in jail when they're found, 3) she'll be lucky if she can escape jail which I highly doubt they'll let her off if the guy is a criminal(most likely she'll be charged with aiding and abetting a felon), and 4) that baby will be taken from her as soon as it's born and become a ward of the state and grow up in foster care because both it's parents are idiots. And she'll never get it back either. If she's smart and doesn't want to lose her child forever she won't run away with this guy.

How old is your friend? How old is the father of her baby? Is he going to be in trouble because she is pregnant or for some other reason? Does she have a good relationship with her foster parents? Or with your parents? Any trusted adults that she could turn to?

But, based on just what you have written here:
Tell your friend that her duties are to be good to herself and her unborn baby FIRST! If she wants to be a good mom she must put the baby's needs before all the drama that is going on in her life right now. She must protect her child from a life of drama and crime. Period!
There are pregnancy help lines and centers. There are also run away help lines and centers. There may be a run away shelter close to you.
I hope you think of a trusted adult. If you do then go to them for real face to face hands on help!
If you can't think of any adult to trust (this should tell you that you need to cultivate some positive relationships with some reasonable (sober, honest, caring) adults) then go to the school guidance counselor or the local health dept. You should be able to get help without being "reported" by either of those.

What do you mean she will get out in foster care? She will still be in foster care, even if she is pregnant until she is emancipated or reaches 18. If she runs away and the police find her, she will be placed back in a foster home because she will be in violation of the court order that placed her in foster care.

her parents have to know and if her boyfriend might go to jail than that isn't a very good example for the child knowing that his or her dad is going to jail. have her stay with the parents and then when the boyfriend gets out of jail they can get married the boyfriend can either face the consecunces or never see his child again but your friend shouldn't move she should be with her parents and family for support.

so she's in foster care and he is wanted? she is moving w/him so they don't find him? well, hope she knows that when they do find him, and they will, she will go to jail as well for aiding and abetting a wanted criminal. that baby will go into the system and it will be tough to get it back. she should just let him run on his own.

My advice to you would be to tell her to get her boyfriend to turn himself in,especially if he has a baby on the way.Having a baby is supose to make you grow up,and take care of your issues for that baby can have a safe and happy home,Good luck in advance

Try a pregnancy help center. There are usually places that will specifically help pregnant women that are in this kind of a situation.
