I can think of several reasons why you might find it boring. Here are a few:
1. You have little say about what classes you take and what teachers you have.
2. Seven hours a day is a long time to sit in one place.
3. Hormones are racing through your body, and as a result you can think of nothing but video games and the opposite sex.
4. Teachers can't make classes fun or lively because when they do, students get loud and obnoxious and out of control. Since public school systems have such large classes and campuses, they prefer students that are in control rather than students who are interested.
5. You don't realize how potentially interesting some of the subjects you are studying could be because you have little curiosity about or experience with the world.
6. Teachers are afraid to teach controversial subjects because they might get fired or slapped with a lawsuit.
7. Classes are geared towards teaching students how to pass standardized tests like the Benchmark rather than towards teaching students to be enthusiastic, curious learners.
8. Each class has a few problem students who just don't want to be there who drag down the pace and attitude of the class.
9. Curriculum is watered down so as not to offend any special interest groups such as fundamentalist Christians.
10. Too much money is spent on sports and extracurricular activities rather than on teachers' salaries, additional assistants' salaries, curriculum, and educational materials.
11. Teachers are so overwhelmed with administrative responsibilities, student discipline issues, constant meetings, paper-grading, and the demands of an increasingly diverse student body that they don't have the time or energy to write interesting lesson plans.

Because you are going about it in the wrong way.
Do you find the academics boring or is it boring socially?
Take some different classes. Maybe you'd have more fun taking yoga or pottery. Perhaps you are just stressed and need a study hall or an internship away from the regular school environment.
Are your friends bugging you? Sign up for a club and meet some new people or talk to other people in your classes.
I found myself to like high school a lot more when I was involved in things.

It doesn't have to be boring. I agree with Sunny D. Get invloved in school activities. I volunteered a lot in school. I helped out with the concession stands at football games. I was an officer in 2 after-school clubs. Also, take electives that you enjoy. If you like literature, take Major American Authors (or something similar). Find something that you can connect with in your studies, and even suggest an assignment to your teacher, if you think a research paper topic or presentation idea is boring. You can make it fun for yourself.

Probably cause when you think of all the things you can be doing instead of sitting in a classroom then school seems pretty boring compared to those other things. ;o)

Square walls, square chair, square desk,, and you are expected to sit for hours on end on this hard chair. Its awful! No wonder kids drop out of school. Classrooms need to be remodeled, maybe couches comfy chairs music, painting on the walls.
Just a thought.

Because they make you go to it, and unless you plan on going to college it is a waste of time anyways. Pass the time during class by sleeping, daydreaming, checking out hot chicks, or just cut class and get drunk or high.

There isn't any classes, clubs, or sports that interest you. My senior year is half over already and I won't be seeing a majority of my classmates ever again, so enjoy your classmates' company while you still can.

Because you don't know what you want to do with your life yet, so therefore you see no reason to be doing something that has no application to you.
My advice is stick through it, go to college and find your true passion. It worked for me.
