Call the police, the tow company has to report all tows that are not approved by the owners.

are you sure it wasn't stolen?

if you know the location where the car was (street name and cross-streets) then you should be able to call any police station, and they should be able to give you the number to the precinct that deals with that area. Then call the precinct and tell them that your car was towed (give them the type of car, color and date/time of day) they would be able to tell you if it was impounded or not.

Do yourself a favor - don't head down to a police impound if you have warrants or unpaid tickets

call the police department,,and tell them,,they,ll find it they may be who had it towed to start with,,if it was parked where it could have been towed by the city,,but they can help you find it either way good luck with it,hope this help,s.
