Sure, why not? If you like it, put it on your bed. I'm a lot older than 17 and I have a lion quilt on my bed (because my sign is Leo the Lion). I like Garfield the Cat also and have some pillow cases with his picture on them.

Is she looking at it as a collector piece? I would ask her if there was a favorite color of spread or other for everyday use...Ask her if other girls in her age group do Disney characters...I wear t-shirts with small Disney emblems...Is her room Disney? I know, ask her why...

WELL IT REALLY DEPENS HOW CRAZY SHE IS WITH THE DISNEY PRINCESSES. MY SISTER IS 17 AND SHE LOVES DISNEY. SHE COLLECTS THE DOLLS AND OTHER COLLECTIBLES BUT DOESNT HAVE A COMFORTER. HER ROOM IS SORTA LIKE PRINCESS LOOKING BUT SHE DID NOT GET THE COMFORTER BECAUSE IT WOULD BE TOO MUCH.
SO I WOULD SUGGEST ASKING YOUR 17 YEAR OLD IF SHE REALLY WANTS IT. AND IF SO THEN GO FOR IT.

I don't see why not. You have to be true to yourself. If you like it that's all that matters. If people give you crap about it then just blow them off because more than likely they will never be able to express themselves as well as you do.
