Diving is one of the toughest to call, usually, in some cases it is completely obvious. The hardest call to make is probly a penalty shot late in a tie or one goal game. If he calls it he better be right or he isnt gunna be a ref for much longer.

Interference and hooking. What bothers me, is you see they make calls that they're not sure about because of the new rule book, and call ticky tack hooking calls, but then when there's a major hook that there's no question about, they just let them play. Ridiculous......in the past month, Ive seen some of the worst Officiating EVER!! Did anyone see the Jackets/Sharks game Saturday night where they blew a call on who should come out of the box and ended up giving the Sharks 2 PP goals on 1 PP? They couldn't get the official box score out till later after the game because the system wouldn't allow them to enter 2 PP goals for 1 PP.....morons!! Officials explanation, "its a new rule" . Those 2 retards should be suspended for the rest of the year for that botched call!

With the new rules in place there are a lot of tough calls to make now. A trip is a trip, pretty easy to call, roughing is fairly cut and dried, but now with the new rules in place, interference seems to be difficult, stuff that use to be fine is now a penalty and it is still giving ref fits.

On a disallowed goal. It's so hard cause so many guys in the crease and the play is so fast that the ref always has to call upstairs for second review.

The refs in the WHL seem to have trouble calling diving.

Interference. Sometimes players are throwing clean hard checks into people without intending to actually interfere, they are just trying to hit them. But sometimes people throw hits just to stop someone from getting to the puck. Diving isn't far from the top though

A penalty shot call. He better be 100% sure before awarding one of those.

that's a tough one but I think I'm gonna go with roughing the passer followed closely by pass interference. Both, unless obvious can go either way.
