." Men work for their families, duh. And most women WANT the men to work overtime and/or a second job. Women "bury" men. They don't care how many hours some schlock has to work as long as the house is paid off, etc. Then he dies and she's "retired." But to say guys actually prefer to work in their slave envirnoment (90% of people HATE their jobs) is to deny men of having human feelings. The Untermench today is men and our male offspring. Lies, misinformation, anything to keep women from facing the truth. Most women don't care about the guy they are with. They only care the bills are being paid. Lose his job and most women divorce the poor sap."
Well, the truth is that an avarage, woman live longer then men. Then you ***** why men does not want to marry you. I wouldn't want to marry you either.

To Rio Maderia...I don't hate women, I hate that way they behavie, like "princesses". Everyday I have to work with the children who are so damaged by their parents, especially their mothers who "love" them too death. Those children don't have any social skills, don't respect their parents or anybody in that matter, they think that the world revolves around them and then they becoming MY DISTURBED CLIENTS dear. Usually those kids fathers have nothing to say or can not discipline them because their bitches give them an evil eye.
Now finally I got off my chest.

Thanks! It seems so rare to find a woman who actually cares about what men have to go through. You might enjoy the book "If men have all the power, how come women make the rules?" It's free, download here: http://www.rulymob.com/ Have a nice day!

What a negative, pessimistic view of women! Do you really think that women are that shallow and materialistic???

I am sure that there are women out there that only care about the bottom line. People like this marry millionaires, CEOs, etc., and divorce them a few months later.
However, the vast majority of women really do care about their husbands. Women do value hard work, and most women need to know that their needs will be provided for. This is far from enslavement, though. It would be like saying that men only get married so that they don't have to cook and clean anymore.

Considering how many women today work one, two, or three full-time jobs to make ends meet, I feel that this article is completely off-base.

I think it's a sad article. The author has an askew ed way of thinking when it comes to the female/male roles. Let alone the stats on how many people hate their jobs. Clearly 90% of people do not hate their jobs! Furthermore, to say most women don't care about the man they are with is not only silly it is a blatant lie. I think there are a lot of caring relationships in our world today. Of course our world is riddled with divorce too, but, just as many men are filing for divorce as women.
Women don't divorce men as soon as they loose their jobs. Such a silly sad article.

I didn't understand some of that, but here's what I can say from what I did understand:

I make twice as much as my husband and have never pressured him to work more or make more. In fact, I said nothing when he took a pay cut to pursue a career. I know lots of women who are the primary wage earners in the household.

I'm not saying this to brag or belittle my husband, I'm saying it because our mentality is that my money is his and his is mine. So it doesn't matter what each person makes, because it's all ONE income.

Pretty bleak, but it can really be that bad for men.

Of course there are some women that have the tables turned on them, and they have it just as bad or worse. Ironic.

It is said that women control half the money and all of the sex.

The dynamics between men and women are certainly fascinating.

My husband and I both work. He does pay for a lot more then I do but I love it when he comes home and we can spend time together - I wouldn't want him to work 2 jobs or work 18 hrs a day. You have to figure that if you don't get married, you're responsible for your own home and bills so either way everybody is working.
