Jerusalem is described as the Capital of Israel by Israel itself, by Israeli Tourist Offices worldwide, by Google Earth, by Wikipedia, etc - whereas in fact no other nation, not even Israel's universal protector America, regards it as such, and no nation has an embassy there. As late as 1 December 2006 the UN General Assembly voted overwhelmingly (82% in favour!) that all Israeli actions in the Occupied Territories, incl. Jerusalem, are illegal and therefore null and void according to International law. Jerusalem the Capital of Israel? Zionist hallucinations! Any other explanation anyone? Just so you know, the US actually has a site in Jerusalem where they are planning to build their embassy there. Most Embassies started in Tel Aviv to be far away from the conflict in pre1967 times and just have not bothered to move. The capitol is not defined by embassies, it is by where the government is and that clearly is Jerusalem.
PS No one would still consider Philadelphia the capital of the US even though that's where the second continental congress met...

Jerusalem is the declared capitol of the State of Israel. They have their government buildings there, and that is where they conduct their government business. Not in Tel Aviv. So any Israeli sponsored organization would cite Jerusalem as the Israeli capitol.
I might add that all of these buildings in Jerusalem are on the Isreali side of the Green Line, and clearly in soveriegn Israeli territory, not in the disputed "occupied" part of Jerusalem. The Green Line runs through the city.
Other countries place their counsulates in Tel Aviv for political reasons realting to those countries. The United States keeps its building in Tel Aviv for American political reasons. Google and Wikipedia should not have a political bias, and therefore cite the city that Israel declares is its capitol.

Jerusalem is now and will always be the capital of Israel. That was mandated from alot higher up than the stinking UN which, by the way, was only began in the first place, to keep another Holocaust from happening. The UN has forgotten it's place in this world but it will get a reminder on of these days from the same authority that set Jerusalem up as the capital city of Israel!!!

The State of Israel has chosen Jerusalem as its capital, with excellent historical justification.
It is as if I name my child Abraham and you insist on calling him Joseph.
It is up to the country itself to define its capital.

Nowadays it's a blessing the the stupid UN has no power.
When you hear "UN," think "dominated by Arab dictatorships."
I'd prefer "United Democratic Nations." They'd need a smaller building, too.
Care to discuss how Israel came to possess the Disputed Territories? Here's a hint, it was from a war started (and lost) by the Arab states!
The Muslim terrorists would be on your side.
Have a nice day.

OK. In my opinion, New York is the capital of the United States.
But for some reason, the U.S. Govenment chooses to put all its federal buildins in Washington DC. What a nerve!
