I never chose to be gay, it just happened. I think we're all born bisexual, but as we get older we start to lean towards one gender or the other. And, no, I'm not religious at all...religion's a huge contradiction.

You can have your perception. I myself am straight, but seriously. Do you really think god would care whether a person loves another person of the same gender...as long as they have faith in him? AND being gay is only a sin to god in the Bible. Not everyone believes in the Bible! As a matter of fact, I'm willing to bet a very small percentage of the world's people are a religion that follows the Bible. And come on man, just because they are gay does NOT believe they don't believe in god. Someone can be gay, and a very religious person. You know, it happens. Sometimes it can't be helped. You are attracted to who you are and there is nothing you can do about it. Your nature is to be attracted to people of the other gender. It's been that way since you were born. I'd like to see you try to change yourself so that you are attracted to something different. Being gay and being religious have nothing in common.

>>why do people choose to be gay even if it is a sin to god? <<

The only choice I made was to come out and tell me family, friends and work that I’m gay, not to become gay.

Being gay is innate, not a choice. For me, it seems illogical to punish someone for something they have no control over.

>>my perception of being gay is they don't believe in god <<

There are some in the gay community that don’t believe in god, but there are some who do. The same goes for the straight community.

For me, I was raised a United Methodist. I fell out of faith a long time before I came out. So yes, this gay man doesn’t believe in god, but it isn’t because I’m gay.

Sometimes people make a choice when they are very young and forget they made the choice. Sometimes the choice was made innoscently, sometimes a choice may have been made for them and they learned to like the choice. Often children forget the choices they make. So later teens or adults ask themselves why they are attracted to same gender, or even some people become to believe they was born gay. Many gay people believe in god. I fear many will continue in sin by blaming god because they innoscently think they was born gay. It was not a fault of god. It happends. Some children have a gender non conformity and think they was born gay even. Not all children with a gender nonconformity will become gay, and not all children that become gay will have a gender nonconformity. Many issues to consider. Though some gay people may not believe in god, i know many that do.

Your perception is wrong. I think the majority of gay people believe in God. If you are a bible believer, then you certainly do not eat shellfish, and you observe strictly the sabbath, and other commandments you can find there. If you don't want to be tolerant, you can't say you love God.

All Have Sinned and Fall Short of the Glory of God, Romans 3:23.

Because they don't choose. That type of thing would be decided before they were evn born and they have absolutle no control over it.
Also it's not a sin because that would mean that their existance was a sin and since God decided (supposedly) decided on their existance, He'd be sinning, which isn't possible thereby proving that it's not a sin to be gay.

people don't choose to be gay...they're born that way.
also, there are many different ways of looking at god.
how do you know it's a sin?
bla bla bla The Bible. do you wear clothes with more than two kinds of material in them? because that's a sin too.
and many people don't believe in God
which is just fine.
they could be right...and you're probably wrong.

You're theory on gay people is common, but generalizing. I know many gay people who believe in God. What they don't believe is God doesn't want us to go against our nature.

John 8:23-25
23And He was saying to them, "You are from below, I am from above; you are of this world, I am not of this world. 24"Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am He, you will die in your sins."
