Do most politians get there by telling you the truth or what the marjority wants to hear with minimal offense to anyone?
Time to accept this. If it was John Kerry there would he be done with his lies yet?
If it was Jesse Ventura from Minnesota would he be writing lies?
Probably not. Your the ones that voted for Bush because you thought you were going to get something out of it or because you were a Republican. Look where that has gotten us. Voting Democratic is just as bad. Through these parties out with the trash.
Vote Third Party to save the US !!

Don't be biased towards President Bush. It's the lobby that works for arms factories to be blamed not Bush. Those arms factories want to sell their products and for that purpose they are pushing America to war after war. Even the Iraq war is not over yet they are making ground for another war against Iran. America is in such a position no country can attack neither externally or internally. The 9/11 happened because of security lapses at the airports and cowardliness of the pilots of those planes. The pilots handed over the planes to the hijackers just at showing of box cutters. Had the pilots and attendants fought back 9/11 wouldn't have happened at all. George W Bush or for that reason any US President is only a puppet at the hands of those arms factories. What ever may be the intention George W Bush did right thing by attacking Iraq and put that country on flame. Now these Islamic Fundamentalists will know how the terrorism hurts.

Well I've just finished reading the 'speech'.
It could be better described as a proclamation.
He did not write it, though he had some input.
It's not the lies that worry me, it's the predictions.
If you want to know more go to the PANC website, this stratagy has been openly publshed for years as part of the Neo - Con adgenda.
Educate yourseves and give it a read.
And stop knocking Bush he is only following orders.

You are giving Bush way too much credit, he doesn't write this stuff. He has speechwriters doing it for him. All the spin we're going to hear is from professionals who do this for a living. He'll approve the final product of course, and the speechwriters are given their talking points, but he can barely speak the words from the teleprompter correctly, much less write them himself.

Though I am pretty sure he is not going to deliver only gospel truth (and nothing but gospel truth), I am not sure if he is the sole author of it. He has a pretty good bunch of liars and crooks around to help him out.

"President Bush spent hours Tuesday practicing in front of cameras, preparing to make his case for increasing the U.S. military commitment in Iraq in a prime-time address to the nation tonight, even as congressional Democrats readied legislation to block any increase in the number of troops."

Why would President Bush need to lie? He can not be re-elected & he has the right as president to make these choices, so why would he lie? No need, amony other things the media has tried to leak anything he would say. Our military security House & Senate members can not keep their big fat mouths shut. Yes, that would include the murderer, Senator Ted Kennedy. I guess he is out of bridges & young girls to drown.

So, you DEMOCRATS have already concluded that the President will be lying. Do you mean lying like "I didn't leave that girl in the car to drown!" or lying like "I voted for it before I voted against it!" or more like "We're going to work very hard in our first 100 hours!" ?

He will probably spend most of the day figuring out how to say "stay the course" slow enough to occupy enough time for it to be considered a speech.
