Expect at least 80% spin with some home truths thrown in there in an attempt to make his "plan" seem feasible. Probably some shameless tweaking of people's concern toward the troops, to try and make those who want out of Iraq seem less than patriotic. That seems to be a favorite tactic of his and his followers. Look for him to talk about the funding cuts as if Democrats mean to cut the current troops short on money. He'll make it sound as though they wish to leave the current troops high and dry instead of acknowledging what they are really suggesting - cutting funding to any NEW troop surge while still supporting the troops that are there. He'll also talk a lot about Somalia and the attack on Al Queda, which gives him room to hoot about a form of success, though unrelated to the war in Iraq. It's sort of ironic that what we're doing in Somalia should have been our concentration for the last six years, not Iraq, but that he'll use it to make himself seem as though he has been on the right track all along and most definitely will try to link the two together through word play.

First you have to understand what "spin" is. When something is said or written and others interpret it as they see fit...THAT's spin. The original statement is what it is. It's the commentary and interpretation that puts a negative or positive spin on the statement.

So, if you're really afraid of "spin", simply listen to the speech, think about it for yourself, and then tune out the "reaction" and "interpretation" from the press and the opposition.

After all, you wouldn't want someone like Nancy Pelosi or David Gregory telling you what you believe...would you?

Considering the fact he is facing a Democrat controlled congress, his address will likely be filled with fact and a clear mission. This is what the new congress is demanding from him.
Unlike in the past, Bush doesn't have to sell his ideas to the American public. He now has to sell congress. Unlike the American public, congress has the power to uncover the truth.
I think you need to listen to Bush tonight with an open mind. It's likely going to be his best address.

He is a politician, so as usual 50% lies, 35% spin and 14% self endorsement and the 1% fact 'Hello my name is George and I am your president'.
Why should he be any different from the rest of the low life scum that rule us?

I am sort of thinking it will be about a half hour of Bush slowly saying "stay the course". Not really lies or deceit. Just the same old thing he have been hearing for years now.

There is a foe unmentioned and for a reason. What group hopes to gain by "our" attacking Arabs?(answer - Edom.) Look into who they are now. 9/11 is Edom inducing white people(US majority) to force black people(a large component of the US Army) to kill Arab people.

Based on his history of honesty, it would be, like the rest of his speeches before that, 0%.
