Well, that is a very vague question so I'll answer yes and no. No because obviously he's at the top of his game. But also yes, because when he's in form, he's one of the best openers in the whole world. So I believe that he should be dropped in the next tournament but it should not be permanent. He should be sent to try to regain his form and perhaps come back to the Indian team again. Until then, youngsters can try to play his position but I personally believe that Ganguly will be able to fit the bill as he used to be a very successful opener.

Definitely without him India will be a disastrous team.
Virender Sehwag is known for his aggressive, dazzling batting style, and does not hesitate to play unorthodox shots.
Ever since his first match playing for India at the International level, Virender Sehwag has batted only one way. Full of domination, full of power. When it is his day, luck just seems to stop favouring his opponents. When lady luck is on Sehwag's side, watching him bat is one of the most dominating sites in World Cricket today. He never seems to show any difference in the way he plays in One Day Cricket or Test Cricket. Very strong in cutting and flicking quick bowlers and intimidating spinners with powerplay makes him a potentially hostile batsman.

Yes.......but maximum as a 12th man ,
of course he is picking up some GOOD catches.......
Uthappa, Gambhir, Karthik, Badarinath & several others have been blocked because of the SAVE SEHWAG attittude of selectors.......

The only reason why the old brigade is still surviving in team India is that there is no suitable replacement. Sehwag should stay there because there is noone as explosive as he is in the prospective players.

Definitely yes. Do'nt forget the magnificent openings he has made. The tons of tensions he bore. The poor form may be momentary. He needs some more opportunities to prove. One cannot be discarded based on a few failures.

india is a country with plenty of young talented persons who has not been given even a single chance. it's better if we remove shewag & support those talented players. in a way it will help to keep the players in form if they are made to understand that they will be removed if not performing up to mark.
