Bras Basah Complex is a great place to sell and buy 2nd hand books. And it is a well known place to those looking for 2nd hand books. But online auctions may be better in terms of lesser hassle, possible greater each of customers and convenience as u can ask the buyer to pick up from you or somewhere convenient to you. Downside is that you may end up with no interested buyers whereas the shops at Bras Basah would accept your books with no questions asked!!

Amazon is a good start. I sell used books/cds through them.

Textbooks are best sold through a college bookstore. They will often give you store credit or part of the price paid.

Anything lower than college level may not sell well, especially if it is dated. If you cannot sell these you may consider donating them to an orphanage or homeless shelter
