My personal opinion is that it's very acceptable for a man to sit and pee. One of my male friends started this among his friends and although at first a bit of a giggle, now most of the guys in the group do it. Much to the pleasing of their mothers/wives/girlfriends who no longer complain of any mishaps!

My x was taught growing up that it was the polite thing to do when at home or a guest's.
My dad and brother's did not but were taught to put the seat and cover back down.
We have a coed bathroom at work and I can't belief so many guys leave the seat up, that's gross and rude!!

it's a hell of a lot cleaner, that's for sure! As I get older, I can't control the stream as well, so it makes perfect sense for me... not a big fan of wiping pee off the floor afterward.

Well, they do have signs all over the place in Germany saying "Bitte im sitzen pinkeln." That's what happens when women make the rules.

It's disgusting! I stand when doing #1 OR #2!
It's the PRINCIPLE of the thing!

Wow, what an intelligent question. What's your next question gonna be? Is it ok to stand and poop?
