You need to go to the courthouse and search for your name in the docket list. Usually this is easy because they are computerized. See if there is a case, and if there is, see if its a family court case. If there is a dissolution of marriage in the file, then you are divorced. Further, you are required to be served with papers prior to your divorce. If you were never served with the papers, you can petition the court to reopen the case, recall the dissolution, and you can argue that you were never given your chance to be heard in court. You will have to prove that your location was readily identifiable and that you were able to be served with due diligence of the sheriffs or someone else that is authorized to serves legal papers in your county.
Basically, if it's a big deal, you might want to get a lawyer involved.

Call the courthouse where the divorce was filed, give them the case number (the names of the people may be enough info too) and they can tell you if the decree has been entered and if so, when it was entered.

When it was finalized, you should have been mailed the final decree. But if it got lost in the mail, it should be on record at the courthouse you filed at. They may even show online (if the courthouse has a website) that a final decree was recorded and the date it was recorded.

your county court house will be able to give you that information. It is public records which are available to everybody. Sometimes you can even do it on line for a small fee.
