Try discovering their humanity.
Admit that the rest of the World does exist.
Realize that poor people have feelings too.

A lot of people will say something stupid like "get a lobotomy" or some other such nonsense, but there is no real answer.
If someone is a conservative, they are a conservative. If they're a liberal, they're a liberal. They have thought out their positions and won't change.
Only people who just CALL themselves conservatives can change. That will happen when liberals stop with the "Bush-hate" rhetoric and get back to intellectual discourse and reason.

Stop injecting Fox news into your veins, read a book, read another book but with a different point of view, draw your own conclusions. Then read some more books and keep questioning your beliefs.

no reason they should...in fact most dem's and rep's are very much alike in thinking...its the extremists who yell the loudest and get in the news thats the problem...i think they ought to be locked in a cell and made to live together and fight it out. they cause more trouble for the rest of us than any few ppl in the world.
