1. Samsung has sloppy connector cables. Everytime, I turned in a specific angle the monitor behaves in the same way that it did for you.

Reposition the monitor. Reconnect the cable behind the monitor. It shld work.

2. Faulty electrical feed. Change the cable from the electric connection to the monitor.

3. Faulty video card. Take it out. Dust it and place back in. Should work.

If none of the above, and Samsung normally offers 3 years warranty, so call the dealer and get it done free.

The simplest thing to do to take your monitor to a PC repair shop and ask it to be repaired.

However, if your monitor is 5 years old or pretty close to being 5 years, I suggest actually buying a new monitor because like all devices, they would brake over time and 5 years is the expected lifetime of a monitor. And repairing such monitors would probably cost more than buying a brand new one.

Check the graphics card on your PC. Make sure it's working o.k. using the device manager.

Have you loaded any new software / updates? These could have caused a conflict causing the problem. Use system restore to wind your PC back a few days and see if that solves the problem.

Also, try rigging the monitor up to another PC If it still dosn't work then it's probably faulty.

Good luck.

First off, unplug the monitor & plug it in again as it may have a dodgy connection.
If that doesn't work, try that monitor in another computer. If it still doesn't work, its dead.
Buy yourself a new monitor. I got myself a nice 2nd hand one for £7. Its a small screen, but it does its job :)
CRTs tend to be pretty cheap these days.

Double check your cables. Could be a bad video card on the computer itself, try re-booting the computer, if you have another monitor, plug it in, if it works then your samsung monitor may be defective (process of elimination).

plug that monitor into this computer and this computer's monitor into the other computer. narrow down where the error is, monitor or computer. then once that is narrowed down, try swapping power and monitor cables around to eliminate each one.

If your computer is not working properly while you are working on it, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software.

Connect it to the computer you're using currently and see if that makes any difference.
