If you were in Tucson, AZ could fix it for cheaper than expected(39 bucks to inspect and estimate). I guess what you mean by it not booting up everytime is that it does get to the desktop occasionally. If that's the case what you should do is boot up normally or in safe mode. Then, delete all cookies, delete temp internet files, clear history(start, control panel, internet options). Then go into My Computer, right-click on hard drive, go to properties. Do a disk cleanup(make sure you select to clear temp files as well as any other files deemed safe to delete), also on same screen click "more options" tab and choose delete all but most recent restore points. (By the way, if you don't mind losing all of the added information to your system from the last two weeks, you can simply go to System Restore and revert the drive back to before the isssues began). Then on same screen as Disk Cleanup, click "tools" tab and choose to check disk for errors, make sure to check both options, it will say to reboot after choosing. Then when check disk is over, go back to that same screen and choose defragement. Click on drive to defragment and then click defrag button. Now assuming that you are system and it is working a little better, time to get anti-spyware programs and anti-virus(assuming you don't have them already). Update and run scans, delete that crap. If after all of that there is no marked improvement from your system, then the problem becomes more substantial and you need to spend a bit to fix the problem or you can re-format your hard drive, lose everything and start over.

When I had a similar problem it turned out the battery that saved all the bios settings needed replacing. When I replaced it I then had to push a button on the motherboard which was a general reset bios.
This did the job for me. Also, you could try booting up from CD and telling it to repair your version of Windows in case the problem is located. If you choose repair you should not loose anything already on the PC hard drive.
Then again, it could be that, the HARD DRIVE.

There can be a lot of reasons for this from Hardware to Software.
Did you install a new piece of Hardware recently?
Could be that.
How about Software? Could be that.
When you hit the power on button - try pressing the page up button.
Sometimes its the BIOS thats at fault and this will re-set it to default values.
Failing that you could always take it to the PC Doctor.
Good luck.

hard to say what's up from that. at what point does it stop?
If absolutely nothing happens when you switch it on. then check the power supply connections. If this is the case then it's hardware and you'll need to take it to someone
if it trys and fails to boot then it could be software driven. try booting if up off the cd that came with it.

If this situation occurs that means your PC is not getting any power. You should first verify the operation of your electrical supply socket by plugging in another device (please do not use the same power cable as the PC)if the socket does not power the device, check the fuse box in case a circuit breaker has tripped. If the socket is operational, use the system unit power cable on another device.if both the power cable and the socket appears fine, check the PSU voltage selector for example UK is 220v - 230v if this appear fine, you may have to take it to a technician for verification.
I think your computer (power supply unit)is dead - to change it will cost approximately 60 pounds

This appears like the two a motherboard or a power furnish. you may %. up a power furnish testor relatively inexpensive and attempt it. If the flexibility furnish is robust than this is in all probability your motherboard has failed on account which you indicated you have not any submit in any respect on startup. frequently while this is a reminiscence or processor failure you will get a collection of beeping tones to allow you realize what's failing.

you need to clear the cookies on your hard drive, its a folder in your 'my computer'.then documents and settings, keep looking for the folder you should find it its called Cookes, open it up and delate them.
Cookies are spyware that can slow your system down and cause it to crash, i had the same problem until i delated the cookies.
