I am not a big believer in capital punishment, but he was sentenced in an Iraqi court for crimes committed against Iraqi citizens. The thousands of people executed by Saddam for political reasons probably didn't think that was fair either.

What does "fair" have to do with anything? This wasn't a soccer match, you know? The guy was a mass murderer. What would have been a "fair" death in your mind?

I am against the death penalty and believe in putting things in God's hands. However, I'm glad he's not alive anymore. I am really glad that U.S. did not do it and his own people did. I think our country tries to be more humane, but hanging was there decision, so we should respect that. I believe in his sick mind, he really believed he was right and unfortunately so do many of his followers. Its a shame that people like him get as far as they do in leading their countries. I compare him to Hitler.

That's how they do things there. He probably deserved a death a 100 times worse.

Yep, But I am one of those people who think if someone who is sentanced to die should be walked right out of the court house and straight to the chair, gallows, injection table, or whatever method your state or country uses. No more of this 25 years on dealth row just to die....no more tax dollars spent on keeping someone in jail just so they can be executed later.....but thats just me.....

NOt to mention, he killed thousands of people during his rule, just because of ethnicity....so yeah he deserved to die.
