Yes, but if you want to watch it around 'that time', consider changing your diet a little bit. I can't remember the website I found this on, but here's what I remember:
eat/ drink less sodium (this will help with water retention and cramps!)

There were some other little things to eat/drink or not, and I tried them when I was younger and they helped a little bit. Sodium is the big one, though! I think there was something about sweets as well not being good on your body at 'that time.'

Hi there!

I have actually heard of people who put on an extra 10+ pounds right before their period, because of water retention. I looked on the net and found this info as well:

Excerpt from "Why the scale lies"
"Women may also retain several pounds of water prior to menstruation. This is very common and the weight will likely disappear as quickly as it arrives. Pre-menstrual water-weight gain can be minimized by drinking plenty of water, maintaining an exercise program, and keeping high-sodium processed foods to a minimum."

If you have time, you should take a look. It's got a lot of info about why you may be losing weight but your scale isn't showing your progress.

I think it's normal. However you said you have been dieting. Because of that your periods can really mess up and you can be putting on weight too. The best is to see what happens after your period and check your weight again.
