when exactly should you take a pregnancy test for accurate results? i was researching and it says that you can wait 9-14 days after you had sex to take a test but on the package of the test it says you can take the test 5 days before your expected period. 14 days after the mishap is not 5 days or closer to my expected period. i have 2 weeks until my expected period but i took the test yesterday (the 14th day after sex) and it came out negative. is it too soon to tell or am i really not pregnant?

To soon to tell. You should wait until your closer to your period. Also if it was not 1/2 way in between your periods the there is a very slim chance that you are pregnant.

Probably you are not pregnant. But you should take the test again next week. (if your period has not come yet).
The test should be taken 4-5 days after your period is delayed.
But i have to tell you that examinations taken at the hospital are more accurate. To be more specific,Urine exams can "reveal"pregnancy after 10 days or more from the day you had sex, but blood examinations can show it even 4 days after sex.So... go to the hospital.
My period was supposed to come in December 10nth, It came January 2nd instead.I did examinations(they were negative) at the hospital, but i still was nervous.I know exactly how you feel hun....
I wish you the best!
Good luck!

It might be too soon to see if you are pregnant. You might have to re-do the test in a couple of days or just wait until you start seeing pregnancy effects, such as nausea, sore breast, tired, moody, etc. Hope this helps.

if you followed the directions on your test , you should be ok. "should" being the important word. there are tests out there that can detect hormone spikes 5 days into a pregnancy. to be sure , try another brand of test , and follow the directions carefully.

good luck

it is possible that you are not pregnant. but to be on the safe side you should take it again if on the expected day of your periods you dont get it. if it is negative then you have nothing to worry abt.
