I'm not talking about the Law or the Legality of Steroids. What I want to investigate is why people think that using steroids is any different than any of the developments and advancements in sports equipment, training, nutrition, and physcology. I'd also like to focus on Baseball, Track and Field, and other American Sports.

Basically, It gives the athlete a physical edge over the player that does not use steroids. Imagine being in a sport where you have no possibility of winning because you do not take steroids, but the other person does. He beats you each and every time because the steroids give him that advantage. Is that fair to you? Not really, because at that point its no longer a level playing field. I believe the use of steroids for personal reasons would be ok, but not when a competition is involved. Unless all players are steroid users, then its not a fair game.

In baseball, it's the pitchers that use more than the bulky home run hitters. Typically it's used to bounce back from injury quicker. Pitching is such an unnatural movement that it's no wonder they are constantly hurting their elbows and shoulders. The use of steroids is unfair because it gives the user an unfair advantage plain and simple. Working out, eating right and maintaing good mental health are all natural ways to improve your body and mind. Taking steroids is not natural and is basically a short cut to getting the results you want. If you were in a race and lost to someone that took steroids, would you not think that was unfair?

The Baseball Hall of Fame ballot includes this guideline: "Voting shall be based upon the player's record, playing ability, integrity, sportsmanship, character and contributions to the team(s) on which the player played." Do you think someone that took steroids fits into that desciption? Obviously not everyone has a Hall of Fame career, but I wouldn't vote for someone that took steroids simply because that person doesn't display the character, integrity and sportsmanship of the sport.

It isn't cheating in the sense that one athlete could get a leg up on the other one - after all, if it were legal, they would probably both be juicing.

It is cheating because athletics is a test of the mind and body, not the advances science can do for it. Lifting weights and running produce muscle in a natural way. Using steroids is an unnatural way of supplementing that.

If it were okay, why wouldn't it also be okay to replace limbs with cybernetic ones?

Because it is a harmful, unnatural way to body-build. Ok fair enough they still work out. The problem is that they are working out longer then normal people. They are not doing it the right way. In most cases, like just working out more they are simply working out.If you use better equipment and all that you still have the pain, which is your body telling you to stop. In cases of steroids it numbs the pain.

there are various of "athletes" in this international that are literally not drug examined. basically because you're drug examined, doesn't advise you're an athlete. And basically because you're drug examined, doesn't advise you're sparkling both. Take a good not hassle-free seem at a number of our professional events gamers. you are able to't tell me that a number of them are literally not utilising drugs of any style. Heck they even supply a number of them discomfort photos to get them by way of the game with an damage. those are drugs, accurate??? seem at Ricky Williams (Miami Dolphins), he flat out stated he smoked pot. nicely did not he take a drug try. Jamal Tinsley (Indiana Pacers) become basically lately stuck with pot in his SUV. So now that we've that settled. i'm saying that WWE wrestlers are athletes.
