Dreams are determined on feelings and things you did during that day. I find they have a lot of truth to them, they sort of show what you want in life, say a male has a Happy dream if you know what i mean, it shows that they would like an experience like it. I have dreams where i just hang out with mates. Shows that's what i would like to do. It shows moods emotions personality. So yes Dreams do have a lot of truth too them.

I won't bother to IM you about this specific dream, but respond to the question in general. Your dreams are coming from the inside of your head, no matter how they got there. So when you dream, you are drawing the ideas and images from what is already inside you. They may be worries or dreams of pleasure, they may be guilt or fear or lust or anything. The reasons for the symbols employed vary among experts, but in general some things are pretty obvious. As Freud said, SOMETIMES it is just a cigar. The rest of the time . . .
Try to realize that even a dream which seems divinity, seems to predict the future, is only getting that prediction from your own mind. For good or ill, your dream came from you. Only you can really know what it means, although as I say, some symbols are obvious enough.

I think it all depends on how intuitive you are with your inner self. Some people float through life and don't understand their own souls. Dreams, I think, is your SOULS way of getting intouch with your reality. If that makes any sense. I basically believe that EVERYTHING happens for a reason. Bad or Good...and our souls are already aware of what we will do or what will happen before it happens. And so like I said..if you are deeply in touch with your inner self and you can recognize the signs then in some form your dreams will come true...not ALL dreams.(Gwen Stefani isn't going to kiss EVERYONE who dreams about her) Some dreams are for fun...Some dreams are just about our known fears or apprehensions. Etc...Ever her of Deja Vu (not the movie)....our sub-conscience knows things....whether you are intouch with the ability to understand the signs is where it will vary from person to person.

Dreams have some truth to them for dreams are usually occurances that passed you that day and you haven't payed to much attention to them or some things that were too shocking for you to handle and they submerged deep into your brain and your brain blocked it. at night your thought and unconcious mind is free of boundries and all the things you hid during the day may surface up to a point that they seem very real to you and they can cause you even to wake up.forinstance that fact that you're being choked in your dream just to wake up and realize that you stopped breathing.
